Job Description
An early years setting in Oxfordshire is seeking a compassionate 1:1 EYFS SEND Support Assistant to work with a child with complex needs. This afternoon role requires someone experienced in supporting children with challenging behaviours and confident working within a nursery or EYFS environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with complex SEND needs
Support emotional regulation and behaviour management
Assist with early years learning activities and routines
Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team
Encourage engagement, development, and independence
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Experience supporting children with complex SEND needs
Previous 1:1 support experience in a school or nursery setting
Strong understanding of EYFS practices
Experience supporting challenging behaviours
Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
