About the School
A supportive Secondary school in Oxfordshire is seeking a Learning Recovery and Support Mentor to work with pupils who have experienced disrupted learning due to absence, emotional challenges, or changing circumstances. You’ll support students who need help re-establishing routines, rebuilding confidence, and reconnecting with learning at a manageable pace.
Your role will include delivering short recovery sessions, offering in-class support during core lessons, and providing calm 1:1 guidance to help pupils re-engage without pressure. Some students may feel behind or overwhelmed; others need help rediscovering focus and motivation after time away from structured learning.
Working closely with subject teachers, pastoral teams, and the SEND department, you’ll contribute to personalised recovery plans that focus on steady progress rather than speed. This role suits someone patient, encouraging, and skilled at helping young people rebuild learning habits with confidence.
