The school is known for its integrated approach—combining teaching with speech therapy, sensory programmes, and emotional regulation strategies. Class sizes are very small, allowing staff to truly personalise support and track progress meaningfully. The school places a strong emphasis on pupil dignity, communication development, and preparing young people for independence. Staff are trained in de-escalation, assistive communication, and sensory regulation, with regular CPD built into the school culture. Behaviour is approached proactively, not punitively, and wellbeing is genuinely prioritised. Pupils make strong progress from their starting points thanks to consistency, care, and specialist input.
