Job Description
Working as part of the teaching team, teachers plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences. The work involves effective planning, assessment, and classroom practice, alongside collaboration with colleagues to support school priorities. A strong understanding of safeguarding expectations and inclusive teaching approaches is essential.
Plans and delivers engaging curriculum-aligned lessons.
Assesses progress and adapts teaching accordingly.
Creates a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Works collaboratively with colleagues and leadership.
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Minimum 2 years experience working as a SEND teacher or teaching assistant
Qualified teacher status with relevant SEND specialism
Knowledge of strategies for teaching students with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, dyslexia, etc.
Patient, caring, and empathetic with a passion for helping SEND students thrive
Strong classroom management and ability to handle challenging behaviours
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with parents, specialists, and other staff
