Job Description
Teaching Assistants support learning within the classroom under the guidance of the class teacher. Support may include assisting with lesson delivery, providing small group or one-to-one input, and helping to maintain effective classroom routines. Flexibility, initiative, and clear communication are key when supporting pupils of varying abilities.
Provides classroom-based support during lessons.
Delivers small group or individual interventions.
Supports classroom organisation and resources.
Encourages positive behaviour and engagement.
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, trauma or related needs in school, care or community settings
Understanding of trauma-informed practice and strategies to support emotional wellbeing
Strong interpersonal skills calm, patient, empathetic and resilient
Ability to adapt flexibly and support a range of emotional and behavioural needs
Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
