Job Description
Teaching Assistants support learning within the classroom under the guidance of the class teacher. Support may include assisting with lesson delivery, providing small group or one-to-one input, and helping to maintain effective classroom routines. Flexibility, initiative, and clear communication are key when supporting pupils of varying abilities.
Provides classroom-based support during lessons.
Delivers small group or individual interventions.
Supports classroom organisation and resources.
Encourages positive behaviour and engagement.
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Experience in primary, tutoring, mentoring, or intervention
Understanding of pupil disadvantage and barriers to learning
Patience, confidence, and strong communication
Ability to follow plans and adapt in real time
Commitment to inclusion and progress
GCSE-level qualifications or similar
