Job Description
Teaching Assistants support learning within the classroom under the guidance of the class teacher. Support may include assisting with lesson delivery, providing small group or one-to-one input, and helping to maintain effective classroom routines. Flexibility, initiative, and clear communication are key when supporting pupils of varying abilities.
Provides classroom-based support during lessons.
Delivers small group or individual interventions.
Supports classroom organisation and resources.
Encourages positive behaviour and engagement.
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Previous experience supporting children in a school or tuition setting
Strong communication skills and a calm reassuring presence
Confidence supporting both lower- and higher-attaining pupils
A reflective approach and willingness to learn
Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
