Job Description
Cover Supervisors play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absence. Responsibilities include following pre-set lesson plans, managing behaviour, and supporting pupils to remain focused and on task. Confidence, consistency, and clear communication are essential to maintaining a positive learning environment.
Supervises lessons using pre-prepared work and guidance.
Manages classroom behaviour and engagement.
Supports pupils during independent learning tasks.
Reports feedback and concerns to teaching staff.
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Previous experience in school or childcare settings is desirable
Strong communication and adaptability across age groups
Confident in managing classroom environments
Proactive, positive, and able to bring energy to every lesson
