Job Description
Teaching Assistants support learning within the classroom under the guidance of the class teacher. Support may include assisting with lesson delivery, providing small group or one-to-one input, and helping to maintain effective classroom routines. Flexibility, initiative, and clear communication are key when supporting pupils of varying abilities.
Provides classroom-based support during lessons.
Delivers small group or individual interventions.
Supports classroom organisation and resources.
Encourages positive behaviour and engagement.
Desired Experience + Qualifications
You’re an experienced educator with a passion for both teaching and sport. You take the lead in class, enjoy working across different age groups, and understand the value of movement, teamwork, and resilience for children’s growth. We’d especially like to hear from you if you: - Have an HLTA qualification (or TA Level 3+) with solid UK classroom experience. Are confident leading whole classes and differentiating for a range of SEND. Have a background in sport, coaching, or physical education. Can set up creative PE activities with limited equipment and plenty of imagination. Are composed, organised, and ready to step in wherever needed from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Understand how to adapt your teaching for different needs and abilities. Are reliable, able to build rapport quickly, and an excellent communicator.
