Job Description
Working closely with pupils and staff, Teaching Assistants help maintain engagement and progress. Support may include assisting with lesson delivery, providing small group or one-to-one input, and helping to maintain effective classroom routines. Flexibility, initiative, and clear communication are key when supporting pupils of varying abilities.
Provides classroom-based support during lessons.
Delivers small group or individual interventions.
Supports classroom organisation and resources.
Encourages positive behaviour and engagement.
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a good honours degree in a relevant subject
Ability to teach Food across KS3 and KS4, with a willingness to teach at KS5
Experience leading or contributing to a high-performing department is desirable ECTs with strong subject knowledge and ambition are encouraged to apply
A commitment to creating stimulating, inclusive learning environments for all abilities
Experience supporting students with SEND and differentiating effectively
A reflective and open-minded approach to teaching practice
Strong organisational skills and a readiness to lead initiatives through to completion
A positive, adaptable mindset with a strong sense of team spirit
A genuine passion for Food and Nutrition and the ability to share that enthusiasm with students
A commitment to safeguarding, student welfare, and contributing to wider school life
