Job Description

Teaching Assistants support learning within the classroom under the guidance of the class teacher. Support may include assisting with lesson delivery, providing small group or one-to-one input, and helping to maintain effective classroom routines. Flexibility, initiative, and clear communication are key when supporting pupils of varying abilities.

Provides classroom-based support during lessons.
Delivers small group or individual interventions.
Supports classroom organisation and resources.
Encourages positive behaviour and engagement.

Desired Experience + Qualifications

  • Experience supporting pupils in a classroom or intervention setting 

  • Understanding of Pupil Premium or targeted intervention strategies 

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills 

  • Empathy, resilience, and a genuine commitment to equity in education
