Job Description

Working closely with pupils and staff, Teaching Assistants help maintain engagement and progress. Support may include assisting with lesson delivery, providing small group or one-to-one input, and helping to maintain effective classroom routines. Flexibility, initiative, and clear communication are key when supporting pupils of varying abilities.

Provides classroom-based support during lessons.
Delivers small group or individual interventions.
Supports classroom organisation and resources.
Encourages positive behaviour and engagement.

Desired Experience + Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a science technician in an educational or industrial setting 

  • Strong laboratory knowledge, including safe handling of chemicals and equipment 

  • Skilled with lab setups for GCSE/KS4 practicals and capable of supporting teachers effectively 

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, proactive and reliable 

  • Ability to cover multiple subject areas and adapt to different lesson needs
