About the School
Based in South Birmingham, this Ofsted-rated Good primary school is known for its strong pastoral framework and community-minded ethos. Leadership prioritises early intervention and emotional wellbeing as a foundation for learning, which means staff have the freedom to try initiatives that genuinely help children feel safe and engaged. The school has growing success in literacy and numeracy outcomes due to its focus on tailored support and inclusive provision. With a mixed social demographic, they pride themselves on knowing each pupil as an individual and working closely with families to sustain progress. Staff benefit from collaborative planning, approachable leadership and access to CPD linked to behaviour, SEMH and SEND support. They place high importance on celebrating cultural diversity, resilience and pupil voice. If you want to work in a setting where pastoral care is seen as essential rather than an add-on, this role offers the chance to make a daily impact in a supportive team.
