Job Description
Teachers in this position are responsible for delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons. The work involves effective planning, assessment, and classroom practice, alongside collaboration with colleagues to support school priorities. A strong understanding of safeguarding expectations and inclusive teaching approaches is essential.
Plans and delivers engaging curriculum-aligned lessons.
Assesses progress and adapts teaching accordingly.
Creates a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Works collaboratively with colleagues and leadership.
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Enhanced DBS certificate.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching/education qualifications.
Experience within a school setting, with a focus on 1:1 tutoring.
Experience with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) is desirable but not essential.
About the School
Our partnered school is a special school for pupils aged 5 to 16, who have social, emotional and mental health needs. The school has about 100 pupils on roll, who are supported by a team of dedicated and caring staff.
The school aims to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment, where pupils can develop their academic, personal and social skills. The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum, which is tailored to meet the individual needs and interests of each pupil.
