Job Description

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support to access learning. The focus is on providing tailored academic and emotional support, adapting tasks where needed, and helping pupils feel secure and confident in the classroom. Strong communication, patience, and consistency are essential, alongside a clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.

Supports pupils with SEND in lessons and structured interventions.
Works closely with teachers to adapt learning activities.
Promotes confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
Maintains safeguarding, care, and wellbeing standards.

Desired Experience + Qualifications

  • Previous experience within a school setting, particularly working with SEND students. 

  • A relevant teaching or education qualification.

  • An enhanced DBS check is required. 

  • A background in gaming or sports would be advantageous for engaging students in unique and relatable ways.
