Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and nurturing Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the Rugby area. This role is ideal for a KS1 teacher who is ready to build strong foundations for learning and guide pupils through the exciting transition from Early Years to Key Stage 1.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver a creative and engaging Year 1 curriculum tailored to meet a range of learning needs
Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development as they settle into formal education
Work closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom
Track pupil progress and communicate effectively with parents and carers
Promote a love of learning through engaging lessons and classroom activities

Desired Experience
+ Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
KS1 teaching experience, ideally within Year 1
Strong classroom management and planning skills
A caring and adaptable approach to teaching
