Job Description
You’ll provide structured support for autistic learners across lessons, sensory breaks, and transitions. Using visuals, clear routines, and supportive communication, you’ll help pupils stay regulated and engaged. You’ll work alongside specialist staff, follow personalised plans, and help adapt tasks so pupils can access learning meaningfully and confidently. A warm, steady presence is key.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver structured 1:1 and small-group autism support.
Use visuals, routines, and communication strategies consistently.
Support sensory regulation throughout the school day.
Follow personalised plans and contribute to progress records.
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Experience supporting autistic children or young people.
Confident with routine-based approaches and visual communication tools.
Strong empathy, patience, and clear communication skills.
Commitment to safeguarding, teamwork, and ongoing CPD.
