Job Description
Cover Supervisors play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absence. Responsibilities include following pre-set lesson plans, managing behaviour, and supporting pupils to remain focused and on task. Confidence, consistency, and clear communication are essential to maintaining a positive learning environment.
Supervises lessons using pre-prepared work and guidance.
Manages classroom behaviour and engagement.
Supports pupils during independent learning tasks.
Reports feedback and concerns to teaching staff.
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Experience in classroom management, ideally within a secondary setting.
Confident communicator with strong organisational skills.
Ability to adapt quickly and maintain calm under pressure.
Positive, reliable, and committed to high standards of learning and behaviour.
