Job Description
A secondary school in Warwickshire is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join their team from September. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who can engage learners through inspiring lessons while supporting strong academic outcomes across the English curriculum.
You'll play a key role in helping students develop essential literacy, analytical, and communication skills that will support them throughout their education and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum expectations
Complete marking and assessment to support pupil progress
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners
Monitor attainment and provide effective feedback
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
Contribute to the wider English department and school community
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Previous experience teaching English within a secondary setting
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Ability to plan, prepare, and mark pupils' work effectively
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Passion for literacy, literature, and student achievement
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
