Job Description
A secondary school in Coventry is seeking an engaging and enthusiastic Humanities / Geography Teacher to join their team. This role is ideal for a teacher who can bring topics to life, encourage critical thinking, and inspire students to explore the relationships between people, places, cultures, and history.
You'll play a key role in helping students develop analytical skills, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of the world they live in.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging Humanities and Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4
Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with curriculum expectations
Support pupil progress and attainment through effective teaching strategies
Encourage discussion, enquiry, and critical thinking
Differentiate lessons to meet a range of learning needs
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
Contribute to the wider Humanities department and school community
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Humanities and/or Geography within a secondary setting
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Ability to inspire and engage learners of all abilities
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Passion for developing pupil understanding of the wider world
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
