Job Description

A welcoming Primary school in Solihull is seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils as they build early confidence in reading, writing, and classroom routines. You’ll work alongside the class teacher to support children who benefit from clear structure, reassurance, and patient guidance throughout the school day.

Your role will include providing in-class support, assisting with phonics and early numeracy activities, and helping pupils manage transitions between lessons. Some children may need encouragement to stay focused or to begin tasks independently; others benefit from learning being broken into smaller, manageable steps. You’ll help create a calm, positive classroom environment where pupils feel confident to take part and try new things.

This role suits someone nurturing, observant, and motivated by supporting children at a key stage in their learning journey.
