Job Description

A primary school in Warwickshire is seeking an experienced and dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to join their team on a part-time basis, working three days per week. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher with SEND leadership experience who is passionate about inclusion and committed to ensuring pupils with additional needs receive exceptional support.

Working closely with school leaders, teachers, support staff, families, and external agencies, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-quality SEND provision across the school.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school
Identify, assess, and monitor pupils with additional learning needs
Develop and review SEND support plans and interventions
Work closely with teachers to ensure effective inclusive practice
Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies
Support staff development and provide SEND guidance where required
Monitor pupil progress and evaluate the impact of interventions
Ensure statutory SEND requirements and processes are met
Promote an inclusive culture where every pupil can succeed

Desired Experience + Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Previous SENCo experience

  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice

  • Experience working with a range of additional learning needs

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, families, staff, and external professionals

  • Strong organisational and case management skills

  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
