Job Description
A welcoming and ambitious primary school in Birmingham is seeking an outstanding SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and is looking to build a long-term career within education.

Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
Support pupils with a range of additional learning and communication needs
Help deliver differentiated learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher
Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
Encourage independence and active participation in learning
Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND professionals, and parents
Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil progress reviews
Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Previous 1:1 SEND experience
Broad knowledge of SEND and inclusive practice
Previous experience working with children or young people within education or care settings
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong understanding of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
Resilient and adaptable
Patient, calm, and nurturing
Tenacious with a positive, solution-focused mindset
Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
Graduate or equivalent professional experience welcomed
Ambitious and motivated to build a long-term career in education
