Welcome to Sensory Street
Sensory Street Pathways provide structured, engaging routes designed to support sensory regulation and movement breaks for children, particularly those with SEND.
These pathways can be implemented indoors or outdoors, offering a dynamic way to stimulate the vestibular (balance and spatial awareness) and proprioceptive (body awareness and movement) senses, which are essential for self-regulation and focus. They feature visual prompts and interactive independent movement stations that guide children through activities such as balancing, jumping, and stretching, helping to improve coordination and body awareness.
By integrating sensory-friendly routes into school environments, children are better able to regulate their sensory input, develop motor skills, and improve their ability to engage in learning and social interactions.
