Job Description
We’re looking for a committed SEND Behaviour + Inclusion Mentor to support pupils with social, emotional, and communication needs in a Coventry specialist school. You’ll play an active role in helping children manage behaviour, develop resilience, and re-engage with learning through patience, structure, and empathy. This is a role where small, consistent actions create lasting change — where each positive interaction builds trust and confidence. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team that believes in restorative approaches, collaboration, and nurturing pupil potential beyond labels. Job Responsibilities:
Deliver 1:1 and small-group support using restorative and relational approaches
Help pupils manage emotions, behaviour, and transitions
Liaise with teachers and pastoral leads to implement targeted plans
Support a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Desired Experience
+ Qualifications
Experience in SEND or SEMH support roles (school-based or care settings
Understanding of behaviour management and trauma-informed practice
Ability to remain calm under pressure and communicate clearly
Empathy, consistency, and passion for inclusive education
