Job Description
We’re seeking a compassionate and resilient SEND Learning Mentor to join a specialist school in Coventry that’s dedicated to supporting pupils with complex learning and communication needs. You’ll play an integral role in helping young people build self-esteem, regulate emotions, and develop independence through structured daily routines and tailored interventions. The role blends mentoring, academic support, and emotional guidance — from encouraging sensory exploration to reinforcing positive coping strategies. You’ll work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure every pupil feels seen and supported. Job Responsibilities:
Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, focusing on confidence and emotional regulation
Implement strategies outlined in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
Collaborate with staff and parents to track and celebrate pupil progress
Promote inclusion and wellbeing through positive relationships and routine
