Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join the specialist provision within a primary school, supporting children from Reception to Year 6 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. This role requires a compassionate and resilient individual who can provide tailored support to help students engage with learning, develop coping strategies, and build confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
Work within the specialist SEMH provision, supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges
Assist in delivering structured activities tailored to individual needs
Create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
Support children in developing emotional regulation and communication skills
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement effective learning strategies

Strong SEMH experience in a primary school setting
Classroom experience working with children with additional needs
A patient and nurturing approach, with excellent behaviour management skills
