Job Description
A school in Longbridge is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with special educational needs in either education or care settings. The ideal candidate will bring patience, empathy, and flexibility to the classroom—helping pupils overcome barriers and thrive in a nurturing environment.
Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to pupils with SEND
Work collaboratively with class teachers and SENCO
Support pupils’ emotional, social, and academic development
Foster inclusion and independence in all areas of school life
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Experience working with SEND in an education or care environment
Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
A calm, consistent approach to behaviour and support
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
