Job Description
A secondary school in Coventry is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social challenges. The role focuses on improving engagement, attendance, and behaviour through targeted mentoring and pastoral support.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring for pupils
Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
Work with teaching staff to improve engagement in lessons
Support pupils’ attendance, punctuality, and wellbeing
Maintain clear records and contribute to pupil engagement plans
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Experience working with young people in an educational setting
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
Ability to support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
Calm, resilient, and adaptable approach
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
