Job Description
A friendly Primary school in Solihull is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the classroom during lessons and daily routines. You’ll work alongside the class teacher to help children stay engaged, confident, and focused as they navigate learning activities throughout the day.
Your role will include providing in-class support, helping pupils understand tasks, and offering reassurance when learning feels challenging. Some children may need encouragement to begin tasks independently; others benefit from having learning broken down into clear, manageable steps. You’ll help maintain a calm, supportive classroom environment where pupils feel able to participate and progress.
Working closely with the wider staff team, you’ll contribute to consistent classroom routines and positive learning experiences. This role suits someone patient, observant, and motivated by supporting pupils in a way that feels natural and encouraging.
Provide in-class support during lessons and activities.
Assist pupils with focus, understanding, and engagement.
Support classroom routines and transitions.
Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.

Experience working with Primary-aged pupils.
Warm, supportive communication style.
Confidence supporting learning in a classroom setting.
