Job Description
A primary school in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 2. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping children develop academically, socially, and emotionally while working as part of a supportive school team.
You'll play an important role in supporting learning, encouraging pupil engagement, and helping children build the confidence and skills needed for future success.
Key Responsibilities
Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2
Deliver small group interventions and targeted support sessions
Assist pupils with literacy, numeracy, and classroom activities
Promote positive behaviour and classroom engagement
Support teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
Help create an inclusive and positive learning environment
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Previous experience working within a school environment
Understanding of the KS2 curriculum
Experience supporting groups of children within a classroom setting
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Positive, proactive, and adaptable approach
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
