Job Description
A supportive Primary school in Worcestershire is seeking a Learning Support Mentor to work with pupils who benefit from additional emotional and learning-focused encouragement. You’ll support children whose engagement may fluctuate due to confidence, anxiety, or difficulty managing classroom expectations.
Your role will include providing in-class mentoring, offering short 1:1 support sessions, and helping pupils approach learning with greater confidence. Some children may struggle to persist with tasks; others benefit from reassurance and structured guidance to stay focused and engaged. You’ll help pupils develop positive learning habits without pressure, supporting progress at a pace that feels achievable.
Working closely with class teachers and the SEND team, you’ll contribute to consistent support strategies that strengthen both wellbeing and learning readiness. This role suits someone patient, encouraging, and confident building trust with young learners.
Provide learning-focused mentoring support.
Support pupil confidence, engagement, and resilience.
Offer calm guidance during lessons and transitions.
Work collaboratively with teachers and SEND staff.

Experience supporting Primary-aged pupils.
