Job Description

You’ll support pupils who benefit from additional communication and language support during lessons. Through 1:1 and small-group work, you’ll help develop vocabulary, listening skills, and confidence when speaking. Working alongside teachers and SEND staff, you’ll reinforce structured communication strategies that help pupils access learning and participate fully in classroom activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide targeted support for pupils developing communication skills.
Deliver small-group language and listening activities.
Reinforce visual prompts and structured communication routines.
Share progress updates with teachers and SEND staff.

Desired Experience + Qualifications

  • Experience supporting pupils with speech or language needs.

  • Clear, patient communication style.

  • Ability to guide pupils through structured communication tasks.

  • Strong safeguarding awareness and teamwork approach.
