Job Description
A Primary school in Birmingham South is seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant to support pupils with play-based learning, communication and daily routines. You will guide small groups, model language and help children settle during transitions. Some pupils need reassurance; others benefit from clear, consistent structure. Working alongside the EYFS team, you will help create a calm environment where children feel safe, engaged and ready to explore.
Support play-based and structured learning activities.
Assist with communication and early literacy.
Guide routines and transitions.
Work closely with the EYFS teaching team.
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Experience in Early Years settings.
Warm, patient communication skills.
Understanding of EYFS approaches.
Strong safeguarding awareness.
