Job Description
You’ll support pupils across KS1 lessons, helping them understand tasks, follow routines, and build early learning skills. You’ll deliver small-group phonics and reading activities, prepare simple resources, and offer 1:1 guidance where needed. Working closely with the class teacher, you’ll help create a predictable, nurturing learning environment where young children feel secure, listened to, and ready to learn.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Support KS1 pupils with reading, phonics, and early learning tasks.
Provide 1:1 and small-group interventions.
Reinforce routines and model positive behaviour.
Assist teachers with resource preparation and classroom organisation.
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Experience supporting children in KS1 or early primary.
Confident delivering phonics and early reading activities.
Warm communication style and patient classroom presence.
Strong safeguarding awareness and commitment to development.
