Job Description
You’ll support pupils who benefit from additional literacy guidance, delivering small-group and 1:1 sessions focused on reading fluency, comprehension, and writing development. You’ll reinforce phonics and vocabulary learning while helping pupils apply these skills during lessons. Working alongside teachers, you’ll contribute to targeted interventions that strengthen literacy confidence and classroom participation.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver structured literacy interventions and guided reading.
Support pupils with reading comprehension and writing tasks.
Reinforce phonics and vocabulary development.
Monitor progress and share updates with teaching staff.
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Experience supporting literacy development in primary settings.
Clear communication and confident reading modelling.
Patient approach to building pupil confidence.
Strong safeguarding awareness and teamwork approach.
