Job Description
Our Place is looking for a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with complex and challenging needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school or care setting and a compassionate, calm approach to behaviour. You’ll work closely with staff to deliver tailored support that builds trust and promotes independence.
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEND
Implement emotional regulation and sensory strategies
Support learning, social development, and daily routines
Work closely with therapists, teachers, and care staff
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Experience supporting children with SEND in education or care
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
Driver preferred due to rural location
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
