Job Description

A primary school in Coventry is seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable PPA Teacher to provide high-quality teaching cover across Reception, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. This role is ideal for a confident practitioner who enjoys teaching a range of age groups and can quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and staff.

You'll play an important role in ensuring continuity of learning while class teachers undertake their statutory Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) time.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging lessons across Reception, KS1, and KS2
Follow planning provided by class teachers and adapt where appropriate
Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and classroom behaviour
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
Assess learning and provide feedback to teaching staff
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school

Desired Experience + Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching within Reception, KS1, and KS2

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Ability to adapt quickly to different classes and learning environments

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Flexible, professional, and proactive approach

  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
