Job Description
A primary school in Coventry is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their team. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who can create engaging learning experiences, support pupils' development, and help children make a successful transition through Key Stage 1.
You'll play a key role in delivering a broad and exciting curriculum while nurturing children's academic, social, and emotional growth in a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality teaching to a Year 1 class
Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the National Curriculum
Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
Monitor progress and provide effective feedback to pupils and parents
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and families
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
Ability to inspire and engage young learners
Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
