Job Description

A secondary school in Coventry is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join their team. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who can make technology accessible, engaging, and relevant while helping students develop essential digital skills.

You'll have the opportunity to inspire learners through practical and theoretical lessons, encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and confidence in computing.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with curriculum expectations
Support pupils in developing programming, computational thinking, and digital literacy skills
Differentiate lessons to meet a range of learning needs
Monitor pupil progress and contribute to attainment outcomes
Maintain positive classroom routines and behaviour expectations
Contribute to the wider Computing department and school community

Desired Experience + Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Computer Science within a secondary setting

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for technology

  • Ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
