Job Description
This specialist setting is looking for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to support learners who require consistent, structured support and emotional regulation strategies. You’ll work closely with teaching staff to create calm routines, reinforce positive behaviour, and deliver interventions tailored to each student’s needs. Ideal for someone patient, firm, and committed to trauma-informed practice.
Provide 1:1 and small group SEMH support
Implement behaviour and self-regulation strategies
Build strong relationships with students
Promote routine, structure, and engagement
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behaviour needs
Calm, resilient, and proactive attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to maintain boundaries with empathy
