Job Description
A primary school in Coventry is seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to work two days per week, delivering engaging and effective learning experiences for Key Stage 2 pupils. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher looking for a part-time opportunity where they can focus on high-quality teaching while building positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
You'll play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning and supporting pupils as they continue their journey through upper Key Stage 2.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging lessons to a Year 5 class
Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with curriculum expectations
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
Monitor progress and provide effective feedback
Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching within Key Stage 2
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Passion for supporting pupil achievement and wellbeing
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
