Job Description
A Primary school in Birmingham South is seeking a Behaviour Buddy to support pupils who find busy classrooms overwhelming. You’ll offer calm check-ins, help pupils regulate, and guide them back into learning when focus slips. Some children need reassurance; others need clear, steady prompts. Working closely with the class teacher and pastoral team, you’ll help create a safe, predictable environment where pupils feel understood.
Provide calm behaviour support and 1:1 check-ins.
Assist pupils with self-regulation and focus.
Support reintegration after difficult moments.
Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff.
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Experience supporting behaviour needs.
Calm, patient communication.
Ability to build trust quickly.
Strong safeguarding awareness.
