Job Description

A primary school in Coventry is seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Music Teacher to join their team. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who can nurture creativity, build confidence, and make music an exciting part of every pupil's school experience.

Working across KS1 and KS2, you'll deliver engaging lessons that encourage participation, performance, and a lifelong appreciation of music.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging Music lessons across KS1 and KS2
Plan and assess learning in line with curriculum expectations
Encourage creativity, performance, and musical expression
Support pupils of all abilities to access and enjoy music
Prepare pupils for performances, assemblies, and school events where appropriate
Maintain positive classroom routines and behaviour expectations
Contribute to the wider enrichment opportunities within the school

Desired Experience + Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching within KS1 and KS2

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Passion for music education and creative learning

  • Ability to inspire confidence and participation in all pupils

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
