Job Description
A Primary school in Birmingham North is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils who require adapted learning approaches and clear routines. You will provide 1:1 guidance, help pupils manage transitions and use visual prompts to strengthen understanding. Some children need reassurance; others benefit from structured modelling. Working closely with teachers, you will help maintain a calm environment where pupils feel supported and confident.
Provide 1:1 and small-group SEND support.
Use visual and structured learning strategies.
Support routines and emotional regulation.
Work closely with the class teacher and pastoral team.
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Experience supporting SEND pupils.
Patient, consistent communication skills.
Confidence using adaptive strategies.
