Job Description
A primary school in Coventry is seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to support children within the Early Years Foundation Stage. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young learners and understands the importance of creating positive early educational experiences.
Working alongside teaching staff, you'll help deliver engaging learning activities while supporting children's academic, social, and emotional development in a safe and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support teaching and learning within the EYFS classroom
Assist with play-based learning and structured educational activities
Provide support for children with SEND needs
Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions where required
Encourage communication, social interaction, and independence
Support positive behaviour and classroom engagement
Work collaboratively with teachers and wider support staff
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
Previous classroom experience within a school setting
Understanding of SEND needs and inclusive practice
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patient, caring, and proactive approach
Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
