Job Description

A nurturing SEND school is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to provide individualised learning and care support. You’ll work with students aged 7–16 with additional needs including autism, trauma, and social communication difficulties. This role is perfect for someone who is patient, calm under pressure, and passionate about inclusive education.

Support pupils in small classes and 1:1 settings
Implement strategies to manage behaviour and engagement
Assist with sensory, communication and learning needs
Collaborate with teachers and therapists

Desired Experience + Qualifications

  • Experience working with SEND or in care environments

  • Understanding of autism, trauma-informed practice, or SEMH

  • Willingness to assist with personal care where required

  • Empathetic and consistent approach
