Job Description
A well-organised Secondary school in Warwickshire is seeking an Attendance Support Officer to assist with monitoring pupil attendance, contacting families, and ensuring timely follow-up on concerns. You’ll support students whose attendance may fluctuate due to wellbeing challenges, family circumstances, or difficulty staying engaged with school routines.
Your role will include contacting parents and carers, logging attendance information, supporting reintegration plans, and working closely with pastoral staff to understand underlying issues. Some pupils may need structured encouragement to return; others benefit from sensitive conversations and reassurance. You’ll help ensure attendance support feels proactive and compassionate rather than punitive.
This role suits someone organised, calm, and confident engaging with families and young people in a supportive, professional manner.
Monitor and record pupil attendance daily.
Contact families regarding absence or lateness.
Support reintegration plans and follow-up meetings.
Work collaboratively with pastoral and safeguarding teams.
Desired Experience + Qualifications

Clear, professional communication skills.
Strong organisation and attention to detail.
Strong safeguarding awareness and reliable practice.
