Job Description

A primary school in Northamptonshire is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the classroom, including 1:1 support, intervention work, and small group learning. This role is ideal for someone with strong SEND experience and a good understanding of EYFS, who can provide consistent and nurturing support to help pupils engage, develop, and succeed.

Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
Deliver small group interventions and targeted support
Support pupils within EYFS and early primary routines
Assist with classroom activities, engagement, and behaviour
Work closely with teachers and SEND staff to support progress

Desired Experience + Qualifications

  • Previous 1:1 support experience

  • SEND experience essential

  • Experience delivering interventions and small group support

  • Good knowledge and understanding of EYFS

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Patient, proactive, and nurturing approach

  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
