Job Description
A Primary school in Birmingham North is looking for a Nurture Assistant to support pupils who benefit from structured emotional guidance and a steady adult presence. You’ll run short nurture sessions, assist in class, and help pupils manage transitions. Some children need reassurance; others need support following routines. Working with the pastoral and teaching team, you’ll help pupils feel settled, confident, and ready to learn.
Lead small nurture sessions.
Support emotional regulation and daily routines.
Assist pupils during lessons and group tasks.
Work with teachers and pastoral staff.
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Experience supporting Primary pupils.
Warm, steady communication style.
Understanding of nurture or pastoral approaches.
Strong safeguarding awareness.
